**Frequently asked questions**

- **Q: What if I miss a filing period?**
  A: Late returns incur special penalties and late-payment interest. Working with your accountant, all periods are tracked and these risks are eliminated. See our tax-calendar guide for current dates.
- **Q: When is advance tax paid?**
  A: Advance tax is computed quarterly; in 2026 the filing/payment months are May, August and November (the fourth quarter merges with the annual return). Exact dates can shift with weekends and extensions.
